Take 30 seconds every day to fight COVID-19. Your dailyhealthcheck-ins help doctors and scientists anticipate the nextoutbreakand get ahead of the coronavirus. The first time youdownload theapp and share how you feel, we’ll donate a meal topeople in needthrough Feeding America. The How We Feel app onlyasks you toself-report age, gender, postal code and any healthsymptoms you’reexperiencing. It does not ask you to sign in withyour name, phonenumber or email address. The data is securelyshared with selectscientists, doctors and public healthprofessionals who areactively working to stop the spread ofCOVID-19. The How We Feelapp was built by an independent, nonprofitorganization called TheHow We Feel Project. Our organization wasfounded by a volunteerteam of scientists, public health researchersand technologists.Our mission is to make the world healthier byconnecting citizenswith the global health and research community.The organization wascreated in March, 2020 to help fight theCOVID-19 pandemic. We areproud to be working with scientists,doctors and public healthprofessionals from leading institutionsincluding McGovernInstitute for Brain Research at MIT, BroadInstitute of MIT andHarvard, Howard Hughes Medical Institute,Harvard T.H. Chan Schoolof Public Health and Harvard Institute ofQuantitative SocialScience, University of Pennsylvania, StanfordUniversity,University of Maryland School of Medicine, Weill CornellMedicineand the Weizmann Institute of Science. We are collaboratingwithDr. Gary King from Harvard University’s Institute forQuantitativeSocial Science’s Privacy Insights Project. Dr. Kingspecializes indeveloping technologies to make data available toresearchers whileprotecting participants’ individual identities.Our technology teamincludes Ben Silbermann, CEO of Pinterest and avolunteer group ofcurrent and former Pinterest employees.
